BIO

Mission.

In a daily act of gratitude to those who helped along the way and continue to inspire her, Lea's mission in life is to share what's she's learned behind the wheel, to keep learning, and inspire anyone who thinks "they can't" into someone "who can."

Competitor.

Inspired by rally driver Michéle Mouton, drag racer Shirley Muldowney, Indy car racer
Lyn St. James and stunt driver Debbie Evans, Lea always wondered, "What If?" The question led her to the track in 1993, where since 1995, Lea has been a top competitor in several genres of racing. Early on, it was racing production sports cars in the Mid-Atlantic Road Racing Championship, SCCA National Competition and Valvoline Championship Runoffs, the ESPN2 PPG Neon Challenge ProRacing Series, and the Longest Night 24 Hour Endurance Race. More recently, she's been racing sports cars in endurance race events including the
25 Hours of Thunderhill, Tire Rack One Lap of America, Rally America, World Racing League, NASA Enduro Races and Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.

Pro Driver.

Year round Lea works for premiere automotive and motorsports companies around the country inspiring men and women alike through coaching, demonstration driving and public speaking. Croteau's name has been and continues to be associated with the best in the biz including: Bill Scott Racing at Summit Point, Skip Barber Racing School, BMW Performance Center, Ford Performance Racing School, and Porsche Sport Driving School. For over two decades, Lea has spent at The Bridgestone Winter Driving School, most as lead instructor. Additionally she was a member of the PPG Pace Car Team for the PPG CART/Indy Car Series, and the Marlboro Mustang Hot Laps Drift Team. Her outstanding skill? Demonstrating excellent car control as an ice-driving specialist, also on dirt, wet, snowy or icy roads...or just ask her to drift a car on dry pavement.

On-Camera.

In recent years, Lea's driving can be seen on-camera as a stunt driver, double, and actor for film, television, and commercials. You've probably seen her in the movie Need For Speed; the television series NCIS New Orleans; and numerous television commercials for Audi, BMW,  Cadillac, DodgeRam, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Jeep, Land Rover, Mazda, and Sprint. You can also view her driving in four editions of the Bridgestone Winter Driving School The Fastest Ride on Ice videos.  She also has been lucky enough to share her passion for all things driving in a wide array of media outlets including the Today Show, Good Morning America, Outdoor Channel, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, GoRacingTV (reporter), USAToday, WSJ, SpeedNews, Grassroots Motorsports, MoparNews, Automobile, and AutoWeek.
